Hello - I am continuing this question from another at the wrong place:
I will have to use english, as I do not speak any German.
In the timeline, each item in a slideshow (I think you refer to it as "
Diashow) appears in a row. I will refer to each of these as a "slide".
On a slide, I have put a background, an image, and a text box. I would like to delete the image, leaving the rest intact.
How do I remove the image.
Thanks.

Re: How to delete objects
Hi dbuxton,
it's me again.
If you did enter three different objects (background, image, text) just mark the object you want to delete in the timeline and hit the 'delete' key on your keyboard.
Or did I understand you wrong and you mean another situation.

Re: How to delete objects
Hi there Joe, thanks for the help and your patience:
I am not using the correct terms when I describe things in the program and that is a big part of the problem.
In the layout designer box, I am inserting an image and some text, and putting in a background fill colour.
I need to get rid of the image, because I need more room for the text. I cannot figure out how to remove the image (jpg) without also removing the text.

Re: How to delete objects
I think you should better use the Objects from the Toolbox Slideshow-Objects (in German: Diashow-Objekte) for your problem:
"Text" from category "standard" for the Text and
"coloured backround" (in German: farbiger Hintergrunge) from category "Pictures".
The quick and dirty solution is to make the image small (in Layoutdesigner) and to push it out of the view-zone.
So you can see only the backround-colour and the text while the image is still there but not on the screen.

Thanks for the help, Ralfs!
Here is yet another question:
Is it possible to put two columns of text on one "slide"?
Thanks.

Re: How to delete objects
If Fredys example is what you were searching for you have to use a chapter object first. Inside a chapter you are able to create as much slides as you want. Each slide can contain images, texts or sound objects.

Hi dbuxton,
First open a Kapitel (Chapter) and put slides and text in there.
As Fredy shows, you may use several text columns on a slide and each one may have different movements. Just put the Text icon out of the toolbox underneath your slide. You can put a Text under more than one slides to show it longer if you wish.
Joe was faster than me.
have fun wth the show
